Tag: Ringing in the New Year Book Tag

the sims book tag

Hello bookworms!
How are we already through the month of January? I remember, like it was yesterday, just taking down my Christmas tree and that was almost an entire month ago. And I know this tag is probably a little late but New Year’s is celebrated in January and it’s still January so it counts!

I was generously tagged by Meeghan @ Meeghan reads and bakes and even though I’m new to her blog, I have really enjoyed seeing her content and you should check her out as well. So let’s jump into the Ringing in the New Year Book Tag!

The creator of this tag is Rae @ Bookmark Chronicles

Questions1. Best book/series that you’ve read in 2018?
I read SO many great books and series but Scythe and Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman were by far my favorite and I’m impatiently waiting for The Toll to be released.

2. Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the New Year?
Leigh Bardugo – I read all of Bardugo’s books in 2018 and now I have to wait for all her new releases. But I’m so excited for King of Scars!

3. Best book turned movie/TV show in 2018?
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I honestly didn’t read that many book to movie adaptations. I didn’t go to the movie theater as much as I usually do and it shows because my favorite came out on Netflix. TATBILB was so cute and so well done to the book and I’m really looking forward to the sequel.

4. Most anticipated book turned movie/TV show for 2019?
I am very excited for the second installment of IT. I really loved the first movie and I’m hoping the second is just as good. I’m also very excited to see The Call of the Wild!

5. Midnight Kiss: favorite ship of the year?
Dorian and Manon from Throne of Glass. I know Throne of Glass isn’t new to 2018 but it was for me and I love them together. I was originally a Dorian and Aelin shipper forever but by the time Empire of Storms ended I was all for Dorian and Manon.

5. What’s on your TBR for 2019?
Oh gosh, what isn’t on my TBR? The Mortal Instruments series, some V.E. Schwab, Renegades, Game of Thrones, finishing up the Illuminae Files, etc. etc.

6. How many books do you hope to read in 2019?
At least 50 books but I’m always hoping for more.

7. Will you participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or any others (Pop Sugar, Down the TBR Hole, etc.)?
Yes, I am participating in the Goodreads Reading Challenge and the Pop Sugar challenge. I have 50 books set as my reading goal.

8. Any New Year’s Resolutions? (Bookish, blogging, vlogging, and otherwise)
I have so many resolutions. I want to read at least one classic a month, I want to stop buying so many books. I’d also love to blog more and participate in readathons. I have an entire post going over my bookish goals that you can read here.
