SynopsisYusuke Serizawa is in a scooter accident and ends up in the hospital. A mystery woman called the ambulance for him and Yusuke thinks that he might know her from his past. He then goes through his memories of the women he knew and the ones that he wronged to figure out who this mystery woman is.

My ThoughtsThis is my first time reading a manga. I picked it up based on YouTube’s Marzia’s recommendation but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it. The cover of this makes it look like a cute romance but it wasn’t. It’s kind of dark and depressing. Yusuke wronged several women in his life but I also don’t think the women were so kind to him. I don’t know the first think about Japanese culture and I googled a couple of things after reading this. The first thing that bothered me was that the “Sassy Girl” was constantly slapping Yusuke, for no apparent reason. I googled if this was common in manga’s and from the research I found, it is. It is just part of the Japanese culture (correct me if I’m wrong, please). But I’m still at a lost as to why. “Sassy Girl” was just slapping him around and it seemed cruel because he had done nothing wrong. Also, since this was my first manga, it took me a few pages until I finally understood how to read it. I really enjoy reading in this format. It’s different but a lot of fun! The art is really great and honestly, my favorite thing about the manga.

I should have picked up something like Sailor Moon for my first manga, something that I am familiar with (I grew up watching Sailor Moon). But I’m not giving up just because I had a bad first experience. However, I will not be continuing this series, unless someone tells me that it gets better.RachaelInstagramPinteresttumblrTwitter
