It’s time for my September Favorites!! I didn’t watch near as many movies as I did in August but that’s because I was too busy catching up with some TV shows. But let’s just jump into everything!
Artist: Connie Francis
Genre: Country Pop
Song(s): My Special Angel
Artist: Dean Martin
Song(s): Everybody Loves Somebody
Artist: Age of Consent
Song(s): Colours, Heartbreak
As I was driving home, after dropping off my husband at the airport, I was browsing the radio and I came across the song My Special Angel and I just fell in love with it instantly. I had never heard it before and it is just wonderful. Honestly, I had never even heard of Connie Francis, but I’m not much of a fan of country music but it really doesn’t sound all that country to me.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
So I actually really disliked Justice League. The jokes felt forced and they weren’t funny at all. I didn’t really know anything about the new characters. I feel like we needed some more background information on the characters. In the Marvel universe, we got to see Iron Man and Captain America before they were the Avengers. We understood who they were and where they came from. But in the Justice League, we really have only seen movies for Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. I didn’t know anything about Aquaman, Cyborg or Flash. But other than that failed movie, I did really enjoy Identity Thief and the newest Jurassic World.
Peaky Blinders (Season 4)
Westworld (Season 1)
I first started watching Regular Show in high school and I loved it. I noticed that all 8 seasons are on Hulu so I binged the entirety of it. It’s a lot! And while I love the first 2-3 seasons, I really enjoyed the finale. I also finished watching season 4 of Peaky Blinders and I miss it already so much. I’m ready for it to be back on with season 5. NOW! My husband and I got 3 months free of HBO, so we started watching Westworld and we finished season 1. It’s good but really confusing and I’m looking forward to see where season 2 is going to go.
The Railway Children by E. Nesbit
The Demon Race by Alexandria Warwick
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
It’s been a while since I read more than 1-2 books that I loved. And in September I had 3! This was my first time reading The Railway Children. I absolutely loved it. I had never heard of this book before it came out in the puffin edition. That was my only 5-star read of the month. The Demon Race and Illuminae were both amazing as well. I gave both of them 4-stars. I have reviews for all three books up already.
The new Spider-Man game came out and I’m already 70% completed. It’s so fun and addicting. I haven’t played a Spider-Man game since it came out on the Nintendo GameCube. Maybe by the end of October I’ll have completed it.
What were some of your favorites in September? Thanks for reading!!
