Earth is being attacked by the wolf-hybrids that the previous Luna Queen created and Cinder needs a team to bring them back to Luna. But no one can stand up to them. Until Iko volunteers. She wants to do whatever she can to help Cinder but is disappointed when some of the hybrids get away. But Iko will not give up. Even when the soldiers’ leader is after her, Iko will do what she can to keep Cinder, Luna and her friends safe.

I loved being back in this world and with these characters from The Lunar Chronicles. It’s been almost 1 year since I read that series and I’m feeling a re-read coming soon. I went into this thinking it was just going to be about Iko, but we got to see everyone. Cinder and Kai, Scarlett and Wolf, Cress and Thorne, Winter and Jacin. And it was great to see all of these characters again. But I read this in just over an hour. It was so short that it felt that it just started right as it was ending. The story picks up shortly where Winter would have ended and we get to see Iko tracking down the wolf-hybrid soldiers that are on Earth and attacking. Iko is the same witty and fun character as she was in The Lunar Chronicles and I was happy to see her get her own little story.

The illustrations in this graphic novel are not like any I have seen before. This is my first graphic novel but I have read a comic series and the graphics were in color. A wide range of colors and this is just in blue, white and black. I think the illustrations are great but I would have preferred to have some color. I highly recommend this if you are a fan of The Lunar Chronicles.
