It is time for my May Favorites! I didn’t do a whole lot of watching movies or TV shows because I was too busy reading but I do have a few that I loved!
No new music this month. Still a lot of Greta Van Fleet and lots of 80s music, which if you didn’t know is my absolute FAVORITE!
Kong: Skull Island
The Wizard of Oz
Sweet Home Alabama
Avengers: Infinity War
I started the month off watching Kong: Skull Island with my parents. This was a re-watch for me but so amazing because Tom Hiddleston is just perfect! And since I read The Wizard of Oz in May I found it only fitting to watch the classic movie. Then one day, as I’m trying to find something to watch on TV, I see that Sweet Home Alabama is on and guess what? I’ve never seen it before (gasp), so I watched it and it was lovely! Also, Shrek was added to Netflix, so yeah… I definitely watched that. The Notebook was also on TV one night and I can’t say no to that even when it comes on two nights in a row because yes, I watched it twice! And one afternoon I saw the newest Cinderella movie was on and I had never seen it either and I actually enjoyed it. And lastly, I saw Infinity War… like two days ago and oh my gosh! So many emotions and I can’t believe we have to wait to find out what happens next.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia
The End of F***ing World
I really didn’t watch any new TV, these were all re-watches for me but I recommend them all! If you don’t remember, back in January I said that I will watch The Office about 2-3 times a year and I’ve already done that twice. If you haven’t seen The Office by now, what are you waiting for?
Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
Okay, so why didn’t I include my favorite books in my previous favorites? Don’t ask me.. because I don’t know. But anyway these four books were five star reads for me this month. Thunderhead is the second book in the Arc of a Scythe series and oh my gosh! It’s amazing and as soon as I was finished, it moved up to the top of my all time favorites list. And despite not loving Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha trilogy, I LOVED the Six of Crows duology. All of the characters were amazing and the story was amazing. Basically it was amazing as you can tell. I received an arc of Love & Luck and it was so cute and the perfect contemporary to get started into the summer.
Super Mario Odyssey
So my husband is now home for the summer and while he was away at work he bought a Nintendo Switch and since he brought it home I have not stopped playing Super Mario Odyssey. It is so fun and addicting!
So there are some of my favorites for the month of May! Lot’s of re-watches but hey! I was on a reading streak and I wasn’t going to get distracted from that. What were some of your favorites in May? Thanks for reading, cya!
