Sunday’s with Jesus #2

Copy of Copy of Copy of TOP 5 TUESDAY

Hello everyone!
A couple of weeks ago I started this series with the intention of posting every Sunday. And I have already missed the second Sunday. But my nephew was born the day before that and my mom and I were at the hospital all night so I had a lot of sleep to catch up on. But I’m here today and I feel great!

Something that has been weighing on my heart lately is the phrase WWJD, What Would Jesus Do? I grew up with this question and with bracelets that had the question on it and today, I don’t really see it anymore. But I think it’s a very important question to ask ourselves. As I scroll through my Facebook feed, I see so much negativity from everyone. Including Christians and people that are a part of my family. I hate going on Facebook these days, it’s nothing but politics and pointing fingers at the other side. Democrats blaming Republicans and Republicans blaming Democrats. And I just have to sit back and think, What Would Jesus Do? Would He be sitting here pointing fingers at the other side? Of course not! He doesn’t have a side. Would he call those Republicans stupid? Or keep trying to put Hillary Clinton in prison? I personally don’t think He would because He loves us all. On judgement day, He’s not going to judge us for who we voted for, but how we acted. Were we mean and nasty? Kindness goes a LONG way and it’s really not that hard to show kindness to others. I’m not perfect. I used to gossip ALL THE TIME. But lately, if someone asks me something about someone I try to push the negative thoughts out my mind and tell them something nice. Because we are not here to judge and we don’t the right.

Another thing that I’ve been seeing a lot lately because of the gun control issue is the term ‘AMERICA’. “Share if you are proud to be American” “Share for America” and I just have to sit back and think, why is America better than any other place? It’s not!! I understand that there are countries that are really hurting and poor but that doesn’t make America better. God loves all of His children not just Americans and it really hurts me when I see stuff that says America is best.

Just try to work on yourself. Stop the gossiping and the finger pointing. Stop judging others and just worry about yourself and your relationship with Christ. Be kind to one another just as Jesus was.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.Ephesians 4:32 NIV

If anyone wants to talk or know any more of my thoughts, feel free to fill out the contact form and I’d be happy to chat with you. Or just comment below! I hope you all have a blessed day and rest of the week. Thanks for reading, God bless!
