2018 February Favorites

Hello bookworms!
First off, let me just say that I am so sorry for being totally gone this entire week. I have never been so busy in my entire life. Yesterday, we had a baby shower for my sister-in-law and so I spent the week helping my mom clean and decorate. But SURPRISE! My husband came home earlier than anticipated from Hawaii so I had to pick him up and take him home. But when I went back to help my mom out, my husband calls me and tells me that he has to leave for another job. So the three days I had with him were great but definitely not enough. I had to take him to the airport yesterday morning and then I headed over to the shower. Now, I live an hour and a half away from the airport and two hours from my parents house, so I have drove 643 miles in matter of 7 days and it has been exhausting. I have only had time to read 10 pages of Eleanor & Park and that is just so sorry. So again, I’m sorry for my absence this week but I have nothing planned for right now in the near future so I should be back to normal posting!

Anyway, today I’m going to be doing my February Favorites. I don’t really have that much to talk about but there were a few things that I enjoyed this month.

Band: Aly & AJ
Album: Ten Years – EP
Released: November 17, 2017
Genre: Pop
Favorite Songs: Take Me, I Know, Promises & The Distance

Aly & AJ

I was a huge Aly & AJ fan in middle school and high school and I had no idea that they released this EP last year. There’s only four songs on the album and they are all great but my favorite two are I Know and The Distance. If you were ever a fan of them, I would recommend it.

Logan Lucky
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
The Room
The Disaster Artist

My husband and I bought It and Logan Lucky for our 4K player and It was a re-watch for us but I had never seen Logan Lucky. I actually haven’t finished it either, but so far I’m really loving it. I also re-watched the first four Pirates of the Caribbean movies so that I could FINALLY watch the 5th one that came out last year. I honestly, wasn’t expecting to like it because I didn’t enjoy the 4th one all that much. But Dead Men Tell No Tales was SO good. I really liked it! I have to say though that I cried like a baby because *SPOILER* one of my favorite characters dies. I will always watch the Pirates of the Caribbean movies because the movies are just so entertaining. Now, we have also been wanting to watch The Disaster Artist since before it came out, but we knew we should watch The Room first and oh my gosh! What a great horrible film! And of course, I loved The Disaster Artist. I can’t believe I didn’t know that it was a book first, otherwise I would have read it before watching. If you are not familiar with the movie The Room, it’s supposedly the worst film ever made but it’s so bad that it’s good because it’s funny. The entire movie is on YouTube and that’s how my husband and I watched it.

TV Shows
The Office
Parks and Recreation
Rick and Morty

Okay, so last month I said that I was watching The Office, well I finished it. I also started watching Parks and Recreation, AGAIN, and I finished that as well. Both shows are so funny and entertaining and if you haven’t watched them before then you need to. Also, 90210 is a re-watch. I actually watched this show when it was aired on TV and I really loved it. I always enjoy watching the show even if it is annoying at times. And lastly, I’ve been watching Rick and Morty. My husband loves this show and I have watched some episodes with him and it is pretty funny.

Well those are all of the favorites that I have for now. Hopefully next month I’ll have some new stuff for you (and for me too). I hope you find a new movie, show or song that you love. Thanks for reading, cya!

    1. Wow that’s crazy because I haven’t seen them in any movies. Well, I saw Bandslam with Aly in it but I did not know that they were actresses besides that. I’ll have to look into that. Thanks 🙂
