Top 5 Tuesday: Top 5 Cover Buys

Hello bookworms!
Today is Tuesday so it’s time for Top 5 Tuesday. The topics for the top 5 Tuesday are created by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm so make sure to head over there and check her out and join us on Tuesday for these fantastic prompts. This weeks prompt is Top 5 Cover Buys. I have to admit, a beautiful book cover will really tempt me to buy it even if the prompt doesn’t sound promising. I have only read 1 of these books on this list, mostly because well, I only bought them for their covers. Obviously… so here they are!

IMG_53311. Vengeance Road & Retribution Rails by Erin Bowman
I decided to throw these into one because they are by the same author and Retribution Rails is a companion novel to Vengeance Road. These are by far my favorite covers EVER! I think they are absolutely gorgeous. And thanks to my best friends succulent obsession, she got me hooked on them too. These two books are actually on my TBR for February so I hope they are as good as their covers.

I have actually read this one and if you want to read my review you can check it out here. Despite the mixed reviews of it on Goodreads, I actually really liked it, but I mainly picked it up because of the gorgeous cover. I mean how can you resist?

Rebel of the Sands23. Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
I have no idea what this book is about. I picked it up at the store because the cover drew me in and I looked at the price tag ($1.99) and I bought it. haha. Even if it’s no good, it makes for a beautiful picture on bookstagram.

A Shadow Bright and Burning14. A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess
This is another one that was only $1.99 and I just couldn’t pass it up. It has some gorgeous colors on the cover and once again, I have no idea what it is about.

The Forgetting15. The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron
I saw a booktuber haul this book and I thought that, not only is the cover gorgeous but it sounded so interesting. It had a sequel come out last year but I still haven’t read this one. It’s a story about a world where every 12 years everyone goes through “The Forgetting” and they (you guessed it) forget everything. Unless they write it down in a notebook. And it follows a girl who has never forgotten. Sounds super interesting and of course the cover is just gorgeous.

What books were complete cover buys for you? If you have read any of the books I mentioned, please let me know what you thought of them. I’d love to here your thoughts. Thanks for reading. Cya!

  1. The Erin Bowman series was a total cover buy for me too! I still haven’t read them yet…… but they’re proudly displayed with the covers out on my shelf because I really like to look at them! LOL!! They’re probably some of my favourite covers ever!
Thanks so much for participating – added you to the list 🙂

  2. Those are some gorgeous covers! Some of those books I’ve heard about before, but others I hadn’t even seen until now. I’m afraid I don’t pick up too many books just for the covers, but that’s mostly because I almost never buy books–at least, not in this stage of my life. Someday, maybe.
But I did pick up a collection of Shakespeare’s works, just for the cover. And a collection of Edgar Allen Poe’s work as well, mostly for the same reason. They just looked too nice to not come home with me. 😛

  3. I have been wanting to buy The Forgetting for the longest time because it sounds really good and it is also really pretty but it is always so expensive so I keep putting it off, I have the exact same problem with An Enchantment of Ravens too but I think that I will just have to bite the bullet and buy them because they are books that I really want to read.
