TBR: January 2018

Happy New Year bookworms!
I thought I would start the New Year with something new. A monthly TBR!! I usually do set a TBR for myself, but I’ve never made a monthly post on it, here on my blog. But I thought I’d share for anyone who cares. This month I’m planning to read 10 books. I have plans to go to Hawaii for 2-3 weeks, so I will have some time to read by the pool and on the beach. So let’s get into it!

1. The Call of the Wild by Jack London
2. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
3. Ballardvale Blues by Rachel Veznaian
4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
5. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
6. Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas
7. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
8. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
9. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
10. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

One of my goals this year is to read at least 1 classic a month so that checks off for this month since it will be the first book I read this year. I am also looking forward to reading Ready Player One and seeing the movie when it comes out this year. Ballardvale Blues was sent to me for review by the author and I am also very much looking forward to that as well. Lastly, I will be reading the Throne of Glass series in its entirety. I read the A Court of Thorns and Roses series last year and loved the story and Maas’s writing, so I’m excited to read her other series. What’s on your TBR for this month? Have you read any of the ones on my list? What did you think? I’d love to hear from you all and I hope you are all having a great New Year!

  1. I have actually never tried a TBR list. I usually just have a jar of all the books that I own and draw the next book out of there, lol. Only one I’ve had on my TBR list is the one I just started, Endurance by astronaut Scott Kellh documenting his year in the international space station.

    1. The jar idea is very cool! Unfortunately for me, I feel like I would pick a book out of a jar and then not be in the mood to read that. I try to read 1 series a month with 4 stand alone books between the series so I just pick books that I’m in the mood to read at the moment. How is your current read right now?

  2. I am so glad that I’ve found your blog. You’ve inspired me to read more! I love Sarah J. Maas. Her writing is incredible.

Right now I’m about to read Every Day by David Levithan.

Have a good rest of your week!

      1. So sorry for the late response! I really like the book so far; it’s unlike anything I’ve read before! I would recommend it if you haven’t read it before. Hope you’re having a great New Year as well!

    1. I’m only 120 pages in so far but it’s AMAZING! I love all of the 80s references. I’m totally nerding out over it. I actually was going to put it on my February TBR but after reading your post on everything you liked in 2017, I decided that I needed to read it ASAP! So thanks for that 🙂
