With the holidays coming up there will only be three Top 5 Tuesday posts this month, so I hope you all will enjoy reading! This weeks post is Top 5 Cozy Winter Reads. I have to say that living in Florida, I haven’t had too many “cozy winter” nights or days. We get a few cold fronts that come through and they might last a week but then it’s sunny and warm again. But on those cold nights, it is nice to curl up with some fuzzy socks, hot chocolate and a heartwarming book. So here are my Top 5 Cozy Winter Reads!
1. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
When it comes to winter, I think of the holidays, which makes me think of family, which ultimately makes me think of my childhood. This was one of my favorite books growing up. I remember my 4th grade teacher reading it to us and I fell in love with it. It also features the season of winter so it’s perfect for reading during this time of the year.
2. The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams
Another book that I loved as a child and I would definitely enjoy reading during this winter season.
3. Moonlight Over Paris by Jennifer Robson
This was the first historical fiction book that I read and I really enjoyed it. It takes place in Paris and features a very cute romance. What is better than romance in Paris?
4. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
I only just read Harry Potter for the first time this past summer but I can see myself cuddled up in my favorite blanket by a fire enjoying this amazing story.
5. The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick
I always forget about this book when making recommendations. This book features a heartwarming adventure story that I just loved. It’s about a 69-year-old man who, on the anniversary of his wife’s death, finds a charm bracelet that belonged to his wife. He has never seen the charm bracelet before and it leads him on this amazing adventure around the world to find out this part of his wife’s life that he never knew about.
When I think of cozy books, I think of happy and heartwarming stories. I hope you have enjoyed reading my list and maybe you found a new book to read. What are some of your favorite cozy winter reads? I’d love some recommendations. Thanks for reading. Cya!!
